I completed a couple months of acupuncture treatments with Ed as part of trying to solve for 10 months of secondary infertility in a more naturopathic way before seeking western techniques. I did conceive successfully after those 2 months and am experiencing a healthy pregnancy so far! I was making a few lifestyle changes at the same time so it’s hard to say what finally worked to convince my body it was ready to carry a baby but I’d like to think acupuncture was a part of it! And the experience at Brookfield Acupuncture Center was a pleasant one.

I was diagnosed with Bell's Palsy and reached out to several different acupuncturists in the area. Ed Herrera responded and offered to come in early/stay late to make sure that I could get treatment. He explained that with Bells Palsy it's very important to start treatments as soon as you are diagnosed.I have never had acupuncture before and was a little skeptical, but my goodness it works!! After week 1 of treatment I really started to see my face change and regain some of the muscle and symmetry, and my eye was able to close all the way! After 2 weeks of treatment my face is almost back to normal.I am so happy that I chose Ed as my acupuncturist, he's experienced and knowledgable and I am thrilled with my progress. Is would 100% recommended him to anyone with a similar diagnoses.

I am very grateful to have found Brookfield acupuncture center. I was seeing a neurologist for migraines and was given medication for it but the migraines still lingered. Once I saw Mr. Herrera and was treated with acupuncture, my migraines disappeared within the first visit.Brookfield acupuncture center is in a convenient location and there is parking right in front. Mr. Herrera is friendly, licensed, and professional. He sets time aside specifically for his patients, one on one care. He doesn't run back and forth between patients and I appreciate that because he takes the time to go over everything on every visit. I am pleased with the level of care I receive there and suggest you give him a try.

I was suffering from horrible morning sickness, violently throwing up and could not keep even water down. I was looking for a natural solution and was recommended to try acupuncture. Within 48 hours of my first treatment I woke up with no vomiting or nausea! I am so grateful. Anyone who suffers from morning sickness should consider this option as personally for me it turned my nausea “off” like a light switch. I highly recommend Ed. He is extremely knowledgeable and has fantastic bedside manner! Thank you Ed!!

After years of struggling with infertility a doctor encouraged me to try acupuncture. I found this amazing gem in my home town of Brookfield and can not sing it's praises enough!! I was so nervous and skeptical about trying it for the first time, but Ed goes to such great lengths to make you feel comfortable and calm. I actually looked forward to my weekly sessions and felt so serene that many a times I fell asleep on the table lol! All I ever felt was totally relaxation. He was so accomodating to my schedule for appointments and the warm customer service compares to none. Not only was it an enjoyable and relaxing experience, but it worked!! I now have a beautiful daughter, and even went back for treatment to achieve my second that's on the way!!! Of course many things put together helped my health and fertility improve, but after years of IVF and struggle, i truly believe Brookfield Acupuncture played a special part in my success. Tennis elbow for several and someone recommended acupuncture. After several visit my elbow is on the mend. Ed asked if I had any other areas which caused me pain and I mention my IT band. Ed added a needle and now my IT band feels better. I highly recommend Brookfield acupuncture.

Ed Herrera is a great friendly gentleman! The office is all but positive energy! As soon as you walk in and he reviews your medical history Ed will ask and discuss about what exactly you are looking for. He will explain the pros and cons of acupuncture in my case and explains everyone has a specific body not everyone will react the same. I found that information to be valuable. He is honest. I suffer from fibromyalgia, sciatica on my left leg, sjrogrens auto immune, hypothyroidism and rheumatoid arthritis and in the last 2 years have struggled with chronic pain. Chronic pain took over and making it hard to live every day at all times with no sleep. Ed did the acupuncture for 30 minutes targeting the main points of lower back pain. I felt comfortable and relaxed. Ed knows what he is doing and I highly recommend him! I went for my second follow up appointment and he noticed I was perky full of energy! I've been seeing Ed specifically for gua sha on an old upper back injury that created a lot of scar tissue and calcification in the area. I always felt he was very thorough with the gua sha. Never felt rushed out of there or like we didn't do enough. The results have been great as I'm noticing slowly but surely less scar tissue in the area. He's also very reasonably priced and a great guy.

I have had lower back pain and meds were not helping. I looked at previous reviews on Brookfield acupuncture Center. The acupuncturist is very good in finding the correct area. My back was in terrible shape so went for a 2 nd session and it helped immensely. His manners in assisting you are very thoughtful.

My mom had really bad anxiety and sleep insomnia. She would go days without sleep, and it was starting to really affect her daily life. She tried a verity of different treatments, but none of them really seemed to make a long lasting effect. Eventually, I took her to Brookfield acupuncture, and she has been doing so well ever since!! She sleeps every night now. There are times where she says she does struggle to fall asleep, but she does manage to get good sleep every night. I’m very hopeful that accupuncture will continue to better her sleeping and over all mood.

I went to see Ed for some reflux and anxiety issues. After just a few sessions, I am feeling so much better. He is very knowledgeable and takes time to listen. His supplement suggestions have been very helpful. I look forward to my appointments and always leave feeling focused and peaceful. I highly recommend Brookfield Acupuncture and Wellness Center. I went in with terrible tension which was causing migraines and left feeling such relief! Dr. Herrera listened, asked clarifying questions to get at the root of my issue, and came up with a comfortable and effective treatment plan. A co- worker recommended for me to go see Ed Herrera to do acupuncture because I had high blood pressure I didn’t want to take blood pressure medication so he recommended herbal supplements and I am so happy with my results and I changed my eating habits and drink tea my blood pressure went down from 200/100 to 145/75 and still working on it to go down and still going to go do acupunctureThank you Ed

Ed is amazing! I strained my trap muscle lifting, had inflammation in my foot from running and informed Ed about my sleep pattern being off. The strain was so bad I couldn’t turn my neck to the right side. Well, acupuncture therapy and laser treatment have me feeling like a new person and I’m sleeping much better. I now receive treatments every 3-4 weeks. Thanks Ed!!

I’ve been going to Ed at Brookfield Acupuncture now for a couple months. Ed is very knowledgeable and has helped me through issues that I have had where medications would not relieve. After going for 5 consecutive weeks for acupuncture and feeling great, I have now been going every other week. It’s been a journey, but with his help and tips, things are going well. I started going to Brookfield Acupuncture Center to take my life back from my weekly migraines. They were very debilitating and I heard that acupuncture could help get rid of them. Ed Herrera was very helpful and started me on acupuncture treatments but also herbal supplements. The combination of these two things has really helped to keep my migraines down to having only one a month or even less. Ed Herrera is very kind and has a great bedside manner. I highly recommend the services of Brookfield Acupuncture and certified practitioner Eduardo Herrera. While the location is convenient, the reception area welcoming, and the patient rooms clean and comfortable, the best reward is getting a true expert in both acupuncture and tuina, the Chinese massage or acupressure equivalent of acupuncture. Eduardo is very attentive in listening to your concerns and assessing your body’s conditions, and he is comforting and gentile in application of the techniques targeted to address them. In my case, that was sinus/allergy, cardio vascular, back, and dealing with general anxiety. After an initial assessment, Eduardo applies his in-depth knowledge, and alternates or adjusts procedures over time in order to align with short or long-term goals. There is a wonderful feeling of relief and calm after a session, in addition to getting the targeted benefits. I am most happy that I found a such a personable, cheerful, positive, caring, and knowledgeable individual to enhance my general health.

I have been going to see Edwardo Herrera MS, Dipl. L AC for about two years. Initially, I had gone to see him for severe back pain that I was having. Not receiving any relief from pain medications I had received from my personal physician, I decided to try a more natural approach. My first visit to Brookfield Acupuncture was a great experience. Edwardo was very professional and knowledgeable. His combination of treatments eased the pain to a point where I could stop the pain medication given to me by my physician. What I found extremely helpful was a form of gentle massage therapy he did, and continues to do, called tunia. Having had both shiatsu and acupressure at various times, tunia seemed to be a combination of them both. I felt as if the treatment was healing both on a physical and energetic level.My chronic back issues are basically gone! Edwardo is very friendly and is great at what he does! If pain relief is what you seek, I would strongly recommend visiting Brookfield Acupuncture Center for any acute or chronic condition you are having.

I originally visited Brookfield Acupuncture because it was recommended that I go to help me stop smoking. My experience has been excellent! I stop smoking immediately after my first visit and I have been smoke free ever since. Also I have received acupuncture therapy for other issues. Ed is a great!

Mr. Herrerra was more than thorough. I expected for him to put in the needles and be gone. Much of my experience with other acupuncturist. But he asked questions, made note of the points and why he was putting needles there. He finally applied a heating lamp and electric laser to enhance the therapy. He applied K-tapes to keep the muscles wrapped. I came in hobbling and left feeling no pain. It was the exact remedy I had been seeking. I will think of going to no other acupuncturist ever again after that experience.

Ed has been treating my husband's tendonitis in his shoulders for a couple of months. After just a couple sessions, he showed dramatic improvement! Ed was able to help where the primary doctor and over the counter stuff couldn't. Highly recommend!!

After years of chronic neck and shoulder pain from a spinal condition, I had enough pain pills and muscle relaxers for a life time. Even physical therapy wasn't working very well. I consider myself a pretty practical guy and I didn't believe in non-western medicine. Then I went to Ed on a recommendation and it really helped. He helped me a lot! I have only one regret and that's that I didn't go to him sooner I could have saved myself a lot of pain and aggravation. Go to Ed he can help!

This is a convenient location with a confortable and friendly atmosphere. Licenced acupuncturist Ed Herrera is personable, taking great care to listen to his patients. Should you be interested in using supplements in addition to acupuncture or other treatments offered here, Ed is able to advise and provide suggestions and the products. Having received acupuncture here (and previously in Japan) over time, I understand the many benefits. I would certainly recommend contacting the center to discuss options and schedule an appointment.

Ed is very talented in his craft and takes the time to understand exactly what you need. I started seeing him for something else. When we discussed my essential tremors I asked if he could help. He did his research and when I came back we started treatment. The improvement is amazing. Nice clean office and soothing music. I would highly recommend Brookfield Acupuncture to all of my friends.

I've been coming here for over a year and a half and it's worth the short drive to Brookfield. I had been dealing with a stressful job and aging parents and found that I was unable to get quality sleep. With just the first treatment (which was completely painless, and I hate needles) I felt as relaxed as if I'd had a 90 minute massage, but at considerably less expense and I slept like a baby that night. Regular treatments have greatly helped with stress and sleeping which had a side benefit of overall better health this year. I'm still surprised how much it calms me. Ed is a great practitioner - very knowledgeable and caring.

I tried Brookfield acupuncture after my acupuncturist moved too far away. I was looking for somebody that could help me with a pinched nerve. The minute I talked to Ed Herrera I felt that he had my best interest at heart. . At the first visit I was impressed at how much he cared about all my other health issues as well as my back problem. He also keeps in contact with you to make sure that you are doing well. He has solved a few of my back problems and a couple other problems that I did not even mention to him . He is very thorough and professional and cares about your overall health. I am so happy that I finally found an acupuncturist that can help me like my old one did. I would highly recommend him.

Great experience! Relieved my tension headaches and my sinuses. I had muscle spasms and it relaxed my muscles. Also fixed my neck, shoulder, and lower back pain. Went to a couple of sessions and will return as needed. I like that he also dosent pressure you into many treatments. All are custom to direct problem areas. Acupuncture was great! Highly recommend this place! Also so close to home! Gua sha treatment was great! It completely fixed my muscular issues!

After reading reviews of Ed and his services, I decided to give him and the practice of acupuncture a try to address pain in my jaw that presented out of the blue a couple of months prior. While I appreciated feeling relaxed after each session, what pleased me most was that after three or four sessions, the pain and crunching I had felt in my jaw was greatly diminished. I continued with acupuncture every three weeks or so for a few months, and haven’t experienced the jaw issues at all for the past month or so.Ed is intuitive, gentle, and thoughtful in his practice. He offers much more than just acupuncture and treats many conditions. Though I didn’t seek his services for anything other than the issue with my jaw, I was open to his suggestion of trying a couple of supplements for relief of menopausal symptoms and found them to be helpful to address those symptoms. If you are a first-timer to acupuncture, Ed is perfect to ease you into the experience. If you are open to other alternative therapies, he has a lot of knowledge and can offer other options, as well. I highly recommend Ed at Brookfield Acupuncture and will be returning there, also, when the need arises.

So here I go... Firstly, I am that person that never write reviews and is deathly afraid of needles, shots, blood work, immunizations etc. Oh and, I also HATE antibiotics and any over-the-counter medicines. I am a tried-and-true skeptic that usually does her research before trying anything (the scientist in me), lol.BUT I felt compelled to write a review, because I have truly had some wonderful results from acupuncture. I came to Ed smoking, stressed to the maximum and emotionally broken. From only a couple of sessions with the Amazing Ed, I am totally drinking the cool-aid! I don't know if all Acupuncturists have the calm, warm and empathetic bed side manner and temperament that Ed has, but let me tell you its refreshing and stimulating (in the most "pick yourself up from the bootstraps" kind of way). He puts you at ease from the moment you meet and throughout the session by explaining with every step of the process. Ed knows the exact pressure points where your anxiety and stress has built up and literally taps into it deliberately. He seems to know the areas where you will feel the warming sensation of relief before you do. At my first session after Ed had placed a needle, I heard him say a couple of times, "Yes, I felt that" and then seconds/minutes later I would feel a sense of relief and calm. He moves so efficiently that you won't even realize that he has already placed all the needles and all that's left is for you to relax and let them do their job. Ed is like some holistic magician. The institutional knowledge he has acquired over the years in his practice certainly makes me feel a synergy with him and/or at the least has made me feel as though Ed is truly invested in my well being wholly. I also have to mention that since I have been receiving acupuncture I have been sleeping better than I have slept in all my adulthood. I am sleeping as sound and restful as I did when I was a child; no tossing, no turning, no waking up from worry stress and anxiety (only to look at the clock every hour). My general disposition has vastly improved too, I am smiling and laughing a lot more often. I am beginning to look at life as if the glass is half full, again.After reading some of the other reviews I am really looking forward to working on my smoking challenges and conquering them as well with acupuncture. In closing, if you have been curious about acupuncture and wanted to try it... Ed is the guy you have been looking for. I promise you will not be disappointed. I highly recommend the services of Brookfield Acupuncture and certified practitioner Eduardo Herrera, Mr Herrera is very attentive in listening to your concerns and assessing your body’s conditions, and after an initial assessment and several treatments for my lower back and sciatica pain I was relieved of the pain I had for years, I highly recommend Mr. Herrera's acupuncture treatments

I went to Ed many, many years ago for back/kneck tension and he helped me immensely with acupuncture and cupping. I recommended him to my Mom who has dealt with arthritis and various other issues (that steam from her Lupus). If it wasn't for Ed, I'm not sure my Mom (Marija) would be able to get through the past few Chicago winters (which is when her body aches the most). He does a combination of massage, acupuncture, cupping, CBD oil, etc....for her and she feels like a new person after his treatments. My Mom is so grateful for Ed - thank you for dedicating so much of your time to helping people!

Acupuncture service has been effective in helping my symptoms. This location is convenient to get to, and easy parking right on the street. I am very grateful I found the Brookfield Acupuncture Center..
